Pediatrics, gynecology and surgery will be the first postgraduate courses in medicine that will begin to be taught in the Delta Amacuro state during the next 2025, said the governor of that entity, Lizeta Hernández.
In statements collected by the newspaper Último Noticias, the governor said that efforts to enable these postgraduate programs are well under way, following the health context of the entity.
Hernández explained that these efforts come to complement the inauguration of the new headquarters of UNEFA and the University of Health, in addition to the Francisco Tamayo Deltaica Territorial University.
“We are pursuing postgraduate degrees in medicine here in the Delta, we have come a long way in the undergraduate program and it's time to go one step further,” said the president.
The governor stressed that health in the Delta ends 2024 with progress, recalling the uninterrupted work of the hospital barge, as well as the emergency rehabilitation of the Dr. Luis Razetti hospital with new areas of care, the inauguration of Unefa and the total refurbishment of the Pinto Salinas health module.
