Governor Alejandro Terán transferred resources for 13 community projects in La Guaira

Terán highlighted that in the entity, Community Governments have implemented 365 projects.

The governor of the state of La Guaira, José Alejandro Terán, transferred more than 114,000 dollars to communes and communal councils for the development of 13 infrastructure and service projects.

The event, held within the framework of the third anniversary of Community Governments, was held at the Guaicamacuto Educational Complex, and was attended by community leaders and local authorities, the regional government reported on its Instagram account.

Terán highlighted that Community Governments have implemented 365 projects in the entity. “Three years after its creation, today we are financing new projects selected by the popular power in the first and second national consultations, with an amount of 114,000 dollars,” he said.

During the event, he announced the transfer of competencies for the administration of services and urban spaces from Paseo de Macuto, to the Guaicamacuto Commune. This rehabilitated space, which includes beaches and the historic center, will be managed by the commune in accordance with Article 184 of the National Constitution.

For her part, the state director of the Ministry of Popular Power for Communes and Social Movements , Marta Berroterán, highlighted the efficiency of Community Governments as coordinating entities that maximize resources.

He specified that the Guaicamacuto Commune has managed 18 projects funded by the Community Government Fund and the Federal Government Council. “Although they approve resources for 10 projects, we perform to the point of completing 20,” he said.

The spokeswoman for the Guaira Commune in Revolution, Irlian León, thanked the Bolivarian and regional governments for their support in strengthening and organizing popular power.

“This funding for road roads is possible thanks to President Nicolás Maduro and Governor Terán, who have created this hinge, which is now three years old,” he said.
