This Thursday, a total of 62,788 hectares with full agricultural vocation were regularized through the delivery of 1,361 land titles awarded to peasants in the country, thus guaranteeing legal certainty.

This was reported by the Minister for Productive Agriculture and Lands, Vladímir Padrino López, from the state of Anzoátegui, where he led, together with Governor Luis Marcano, the award of 398 agrarian instruments for the regularization of 25,222 hectares.

The holder of the agricultural portfolio reported that simultaneously in the states of Bolívar, Delta Amacuro, Nueva Esparta, Monagas and Sucre, 963 agrarian instruments were awarded for the regularization of 37,566 productive lands dedicated to the breeding of pigs, poultry, cattle, as well as the cultivation of vegetables, cereals, coffee, musaceae, tubers, among other items.

“I am betting on the east of the country,” said the minister during his speech, while highlighting the productive potential of the Anzoátegui state, which he described as a blessed land with a projected growth of 35% in the vegetable sector compared to 2025. He also spoke about the recovery of sorghum production.

On the National Plan for the Characterization of the Cattle Herd, Padrino López encouraged producers to continue joining in this joint effort. He reiterated that the livestock survey is totally reliable and confidential, for statistical purposes such as one of the protocols for determining the number of the cattle herd and moving towards international certification as a country free of foot-and-mouth disease.

Grain harvest

The head of the Ministry for Productive Agriculture and Lands confirmed the corn harvest in Anzoátegui, which has a planted area of more than 22,000 hectares, which will translate into almost 80,000 metric tons of white and yellow corn.

“We are at the Mesa de Guanipa, about four months ago President Delcy Rodríguez came and planted the first plant of the winter 2026 cycle. Today we come to harvest it,” he said.

He added that the eastern region of the country also contributes its production to the cereal harvest during the rainy season.
