The Yaracuy state government inaugurated a deep water well in the Las Mercedes neighborhood of the San Felipe municipality, which will benefit more than 5,000 inhabitants of seven communities in the area.

The entity's first civil authority, Julio León Heredia, and the mayor of the jurisdiction, Rogger Daza, were in charge of the day. The well will provide water to the inhabitants of Los Limones, Santa Cruz, Girasoles, Abuelos Sur, Abuelos Norte, El Milagro, Coa, San Rafael, Bernabó, Pantanal, Luisa Estela, El Molino and Los Vecinos, a regional press release reported.

The governor stressed that with the new project, 46 water wells have been recovered this year, of which seven are completely new. In addition, six dams have been incorporated to improve service in different parts of the state.

He explained that other wells are currently being rehabilitated in the municipalities of Bruzual (Chivacoa), Trinidad (Boraure), San Felipe and Independencia.
