Government of Venezuela advocates resuming constructive and productive relations with the United Kingdom

Venezuela expressed its aspirations to be able to resume a political, diplomatic, constructive and productive relationship with the newly elected government of the United Kingdom.
This was stated by the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, who advocated that relations between the two countries remain attached to the principles of sovereignty and self-determination, while respecting international legality.
“We take note of the result of the electoral process that took place on July 4 in the United Kingdom and we congratulate the British people, who have elected a clear majority to their parliament, now dominated by the Labour Party,” said the head of the Foreign Relations portfolio in his X account.
