Government of Táchira carried out Earthquake Simulation 2026

The governor of the state of Táchira, Freddy Bernal, reported that this Monday the 2026 Seismic Simulation was held in the 29 municipalities of the entity, with the participation of 1,400 schools, public and private institutions, and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces.

“The objective is to strengthen early warning, evaluate our response times and, above all, save lives,” said Bernal, who noted that the exercise is carried out annually to deepen preparation for seismic events, especially after the events of June 24.

The regional president stressed that Táchira is one of the flag states in terms of prevention and civil protection. “We are not exempt from an earthquake or an act of nature; the important thing is to save lives,” he concluded.
