Government of Táchira announces total closure on the Capacho-San Antonio highway

The vehicle passage on the road that connects the town of Capacho Viejo with San Antonio del Táchira will remain completely closed during October 17 and 18, between 8:00am and 6:00pm, due to drainage construction work in the Agua Blanca-Curva Las Empanadas sector.
This was reported by the head of the Táchira Road Institute (IVT), Ángel Márquez, who indicated that an alternative route for emergencies will be set up adjacent to the main artery, which will be protected by security agencies.
The official stressed that these works in the Colombian-Venezuelan border area are part of the comprehensive road maintenance plan implemented by the Government of Táchira for the strategic care of this binational corridor.
He also called on drivers to take the necessary precautions and use the alternate route only in emergency situations.
He also recommended that citizens travel with the utmost caution and follow the instructions of the personnel deployed in the area during the weekend.
