Government of Mexico in Venezuela evaluates progress in agreement on oil matters

The Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil, announced that this Tuesday he held a meeting with the Mexican ambassador to Venezuela, Leopoldo De Gyves, with the objective of reiterating the terms and evaluating the road map of the Memorandum of Understanding between state companies PDVSA and PEMEX.

“We held a meeting with the Mexican ambassador to Venezuela, Leopoldo de Gyves, with the objective of further strengthening bilateral ties. This meeting takes on special importance after the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between our oil industries,” said the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs on his account on the social network X.

The Venezuelan diplomat stressed that “both nations have been great allies and friends of just causes.” Also in the geopolitical aspect, he asserted that the Latin American giant “will continue to play a crucial role as a mediator of peace in the region (...)”.

Recently, the owner of the Petroleum portfolio and president of PDVSA, Rafael Tellechea and Octavio Romero, with the purpose of promoting alliances and encouraging the exchange of technical, regulatory, informative and experience knowledge.
