Government of La Guaira rehabilitated Mare Abajo Sports and Recreation Complex

This Saturday, in order to expand sports in La Guaira, Governor José Alejandro Terán handed over the rehabilitation of the Mare Abajo Sports and Recreation Complex, located in the Carlos Soublette parish.
With an investment of 1,692.75 Bs, a beach volleyball court, beach soccer and a smaller baseball stadium were rehabilitated. General areas such as the stands, commercial premises, roads were also recovered and a public toilet was built.
During the event, Governor Terán announced that through the popular consultation that took place in the Mare Abajo community, it was approved that the minor baseball stadium be named Oswaldo Guillén to honor the manager who won the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League team, Tiburones de La Guaira after 38 years.
The rehabilitation of this sports complex benefits and guarantees the recreation and family integration of approximately 1,096 families.
