A total of 43 of the 164 circuits in the province of Cuba have already received electricity, which benefits more than 84,000 customers after the recovery work carried out due to the passage of Hurricane Rafael.

The recovery strategy in Villa Clara has already made it possible to provide services in seven municipalities in the province, as well as to link the generation island with the nearby territory of Cienfuegos, the fastest way to strengthen and expand the established microsystem in the central-eastern area of Cuba. The information was provided by Yadier Ruiz, director of the Electricity Company's Freight Office in the territory, located 278 kilometers east of Havana.

Through Prensa Latina, it became known that among the work projections for the next few hours are the maintenance of stability in the distributed generation groups and in the hydroelectric plant located in the Hanabanilla reservoir, fundamental pillars for delivering more than 30 megawatts and ensuring control in indicators such as voltage and frequency. While the recovery in the territory progressed, Villa Clara also implemented the established plans for natural disasters and began sending technical and material support brigades to the areas of the country most affected by Hurricane Rafael, an essential action to return electricity service to western Cuba and prepare the region for connection to the SEN.
