Government of Caracas prioritized social and health care in 2024

The head of Government of the Capital District, Nahúm Fernández, stressed that social and health care were his priority in his administration in 2024.

From the Municipal Theater, during the Report and Account 2024 of the Government of Caracas, Fernández highlighted that he has made significant progress not only in the area of health and social matters, but also in sports, economics and others.

He highlighted that around 500 thousand cases reported through VenApp have been treated. “It was an immediate response that was given by the institutions,” he added.

Regarding the adaptation of roads, lighting, he stated that they had 61 tons of stone production for installation, 23 thousand tons of asphalt, three thousand 014 cubic meters of concrete”.

Fernández indicated that in terms of health, through the Military Community Brigades for Education and Health (BRICOMILES), 147 Barrio Adentro health modules, 11 hospitals, 22 Comprehensive Diagnostic Center (CDI), eight Comprehensive Rehabilitation Rooms (SRI) were recovered.

He also added that 84,920 people were treated on house-to-house days, where medicines were also delivered.

In addition, more than 100 schools were completely rehabilitated to guarantee education for children and adolescents.

During his speech, Fernández pointed out that thanks to President Nicolás Maduro's ability to unite the people, great advances and solutions were achieved to many problems.
