As part of the responses of the second Popular Consultation, the asphalting operation began on the corner of Córdoba a Cristo, in Caracas, which extends to the parishes of San Agustín and Santa Rosalía, to address a fracture in a collector that has resulted in a hole, in addition to a series of deteriorations in holes and sidewalks, actions that are being carried out in conjunction with the Hollow Hunting Squadron and the Hydrological Squadron of the Region Capital (HIDROCAPITAL).
The head of the Government of Caracas, Nahum Fernández, reported through his account on the social network Instagram, that “it is worth noting that to date we have intervened 67 pipes, and thanks to the Popular Consultation, 61 houses have been repaired. The community is fully organized and active, presenting new projects that tangibly improve their quality of life.”
He said that the Town of San Agustín stands as a model of the transformative process taking place in Caracas. “This effort translates into the fulfillment of renovation plans and, very soon, a school will be opened that will benefit children, adolescents and adults, as part of the Sucre Mission,” he added.
He also noted that “these works reflect the commitment of local authorities to the well-being of citizens and the improvement of urban infrastructure. The interventions in the San Agustín and Santa Rosalía parishes demonstrate the positive impact of the Popular Consultation on the planning and execution of community projects.”
