The Vice Ministry of Civil Defense and the municipal government of the Asunta de Bolivia assist families affected in the community of Las Mercedes, invaded by a mudslide due to a natural disaster caused by river floods, affected homes and crops, according to reports from the state channel Bolivia TV.

“The Deputy Ministry of Civil Defense and the municipal government of La Asunta have defined immediate intervention work, as well as care for families affected by the landslide in the Las Mercedes community,” confirmed this agency of the Ministry of Defense.

According to an official report circulated to the press, a shelter was set up to ensure the safety of evacuated families.
