Government of Bolivar strengthens radiotherapy unit

From the social network X, the governor of Bolívar, Ángel Marcano, reported the arrival of the new linear accelerator to the Virgen del Valle Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine Unit, located in Ciudad Bolívar, for the care of cancer patients.

The medical tool will help care for more than two thousand patients and will include an anaesthesia machine for brachiotherapy, personal masks, positioning devices and other accessories.

emphasized that, progressively, the entire Virgen del Valle medical center has been recovering, managing to attend to the entire structural part, in the first stage up to the final phase, where the latest generation equipment is incorporated.

“With the arrival of these high-tech equipment, aspects such as roof waterproofing, replacement of luminaires and revision of the physical space, including the pit and the electrical system, had been evaluated. The details related to the installation of radiotherapy equipment were also reviewed to avoid any setbacks and to ensure that, in the coming days, we have these spaces ready, which are of great importance to the town,” Marcano said in a video attached to the publication.
