The Minister of Popular Power for Ecosocialism, Nelson Rodríguez, accompanied by the governor of the state of Aragua, Joana Sánchez, took a tour of the Las Delicias Zoo in Maracay, to begin the transformation of the country's zoos.
During the visit, three agreements were signed, the first for Cooperation, Coordination and Operational Administration for the Maintenance, Conservation and Integral Management of the Activities of the Las Delicias Zoological Park; the second inter-institutional one for Cooperation and Management Entrustment between the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism, through the National Institute of Parks (Inparks), and the Government of the Bolivarian State of Aragua.
The third is an Inter-institutional Agreement for Cooperation, Coordination and Operational Co-administration for Conservation, Recovery, Maintenance, Sustainable Tourism Development and Integral Management of Spaces in the Henri Pittier National Park.
It is important to note that the agreements signed between the Ministry for Ecosocialism, Inparks and the Government of the state of Aragua, will allow the rescue of infrastructures, national parks, recreational parks and emblematic spaces such as the Rancho Grande Hotel and tourist parks.
With these actions, the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism reaffirms its leading role in the design and development of public policies aimed at protecting biodiversity, consolidating its joint work with regional governments to guarantee the protection of wildlife, the strengthening of the National Park System and the promotion of ecosocialism throughout the national territory.
