Godfather Minister: Operation Lightning of Catatumbo destroyed 20 camps owned by irregular groups

The Sectorial Vice President of Defense and Sovereignty, Vladimir Padrino López, highlighted that Operation Lightning of Catatumbo has destroyed more than 20 logistics camps and drug laboratories, leaving the border free of Terrorist, Drug Trafficking and Paramilitary groups.

“With regard to the great Cartatumbo Lightning Operation, we have achieved successful results since last Friday and we can show the country tangible results with the destruction of camps of different kinds, training, drug processing or logistics,” said the Minister for Defense.

He also specified a number of 20 camps destroyed on a 100-kilometer front on the border with Colombia in this operation, which is repeated three times a year in that territory of the State of Zulia.

He stressed that the National Chamber of the Popular Government System allows monitoring the movement of militias and communal plans in territorial units.
