Godfather: In just one hour, an air deployment was organized in the presence of US planes in Guyana

It only took an hour for the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) to organize a defensive action with air patrols in the face of the recent announcement that United States F-18 planes would fly over the city of Georgetown in Guyana.

This was reported by the Minister of Defense, G/J Vladimir Padrino López, who stressed that this response time demonstrates the effectiveness and high preparation of our military institution. “Venezuela has a virtuous FANB that loves what it is doing and that has a broad sense of patriotism in its genes and blood,” he said.

“Yesterday it occurred to the United States Southern Command, deployed in the Caribbean with a group of aircraft carriers, to announce that combat planes are going to fly over Georgetown. In just one hour we had an organized deployment of air patrols, Sukhoi, F-16, K-8 aircraft,” he said during his participation in a mass to celebrate the 214th anniversary of the Defense portfolio.

On the other hand, he congratulated the patriotism of the men and women who make up the FANB, which is appreciated every day with the results obtained to guarantee, for example, the operability of our weapons systems despite the economic blockade imposed on our country.

“How is it that every day our Army is taking out a recovered tank with our hands and without resources. That's called patriotism. Our men and women of the FANB are not looking to the sides to defend the homeland,” he said.

In the same way, Padrino López assured that the different days of comprehensive medical care carried out by the Bolivarian National Armed Forces throughout the country have been treated for more than 90 percent of the people who have attended them.

During his participation in the mass to celebrate the 214th anniversary of the Defense portfolio, Padrino indicated that only 10 percent of those served during these days are military personnel.
