GNB seized more than 18 kilos of cocaine in Barinas

Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) officers seized 18 kilos and 216 grams of cocaine in the state of Barinas, which were distributed in 16 packages, reported the general commander of this military component, M/G Juan Sulbarán.
In statements replicated by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), Sulbarán explained that a citizen was arrested in flagrante delicto during this procedure.
In this regard, the senior military officer explained that the “perfect articulation” of the members of Unit URIA-33, and the PAC checkpoint “Punta de Piedras”, of the CZGNB-33 group, in the municipality of Ezequiel Zamora, that entity, was able to carry out the operation.
Sulbarán, specified that during the inspection and review of people and vehicles moving in the direction of Táchira-Barquisimeto, the citizen was arrested, who was traveling in a van type vehicle, brand Jeep, model Grand Cherokee, beige color, plates AB091BF, from whom the alleged drug was seized, hidden inside the dashboard of the transport unit and two telephones.
In addition, the authority indicated that the detained citizen was placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry to guarantee due process.
