Members of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) destroyed six clandestine tracks in Falcón that used to be used by groups linked to drug trafficking.
According to military reports cited by the newspaper Última Noticias, the procedure was carried out in the vicinity of the Casigua sector, Maurosa municipality, Falcón state.
During the operation, the uniformed personnel used heavy machinery to destroy unauthorized tracks.
And in another procedure, military officials located a camp built by TANCOL (Armed Terrorists, Colombian Drug Traffickers) groups. This structure was located in the La Cooperativa sector, Jesús María Semprún municipality (Casigua-El Cubo), on the border between Zulia and Colombia.
An AR15 rifle with two magazines was located at the site. But they also found 74 ammunition of various calibers, three commercial short-band radios, two campaign equipment, a pixelated tactical sweater, two pixelated tactical pants, three armbands referring to the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), four improvised homemade explosive devices, two gas cylinders and two drums.
The minutes of the procedure state that this action is part of Operation Lightning of Catatumbo, through which five mayors of Zulia have been arrested, allegedly linked to a drug trafficking and paramilitary training network.
