The union between the People and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) has been fundamental for Venezuela to recover and maintain its sovereignty, said the Supreme Commander, Hugo Chávez Frías, on July 5, 2012.“Today, thanks to a people that woke up, thanks to an armed force that woke up, and here we are united: the people and the armed forces; we have regained our national independence. And we will never lose that again,” said the top leader of the Revolution from the Federal Legislative Palace.
