Giant Chávez: Venezuela is the vanguard in the return of nations' sovereignty

Venezuela is at the forefront of the struggle of nations to recover sovereignty to manage their natural resources over transnational interests, said the Supreme Commander, Hugo Chávez Frías, on February 17, 2008.

“Venezuela is fulfilling a cutting-edge vision. Avant-garde because it's like a return , the march of the Bolivarian Revolution means the return of many things, among others, the return of the right of nations to their sovereignty, to manage their natural resources, to have a preponderance of the interests of a nation over transnational interests and not the other way around, like imperialism succeeded in imposing it in these last years of the 21st Century, the Washington Consensus, and neoliberal globalization. That is why we cannot fail, because the future of these sister countries also depends on our triumph,” said Chávez during the Hello President 304, from the Monagas state.
