With an outstanding representation of its cultural exponents, the Ocumare municipality of the Gold Coast had an important participation in the Second Cachapa Fair, an event organized by the Secretariat of Culture of the Bolivarian Government of Aragua and held in the spaces of the Plaza Bicentenario in Maracay.

The event brought together more than 13 leading culinary exhibitors, master cheesemakers from the southern part of the state, as well as several local artisans and entrepreneurs.

Ocumare de la Costa de Oro set the cultural standard by presenting a varied sample of its traditional Creole confectionery with more than 10 entrepreneurs and a vibrant live performance of their native drums, with the group Son de Costa infecting the audience with rhythm and identity.

The day also included the tasting and sale of traditional cuisine, an ethnographic exhibition dedicated to the emblematic Aragüeño hand cheese and the presentation of nationalist dance groups.

The Secretary of Culture of the Government of Aragua, Nicolás González, highlighted the importance of these spaces to enhance the roots, customs and artistic expressions of every corner of the entity.
