The National Art Gallery (GAN) extended the deadline for receiving exhibition projects for the period 2024-2026, until February 16.

In this regard, according to information from the Ministry for Culture, the GAN research department indicated that the purpose of the call is “to continue working on the promotion of Venezuelan art, seeking to encourage and strengthen contact with creators, and the country's main museums.”

For this reason, the GAN reiterated its invitation to Venezuelan and Venezuelan artists to participate in its call for exhibition projects 2024-2026.

It is important to note that artists interested in presenting their project must meet some requirements, including:

  • Description.
  • Justification.
  • Objectives.
  • Tentative museological script.
  • Assembly and installation details and required materials.
  • Tentative list of works that includes: Images and technical data sheet, title, year, technique and dimensions.
  • Curriculum and dossier.
  • Curatorial text, if you have a curator.

The projects will be evaluated by researchers from the National Art Gallery, in order to be considered for the programming of exhibitions in any of the artistic programs available to the museum institution ( Young Artist of the Month, Space for Diversity, Senior Artist, Cinap Artist, among others).

In the same way, the GAN research team indicated that they will also accept individual or collective projects (maximum 5 people). In addition, they specified that the artists and curators accompanying the exhibition project must meet the criteria established by the National Museums Foundation (FMN).

In addition, they emphasized that the transfer of the works to the National Art Gallery or another museum will be the responsibility of the artist. As well as, they will accept all artistic expressions within the field of visual arts.

For more information about the bases of the call, interested parties are invited to visit the venue's profile for the arts on the various digital platforms (@fundacionmuseos and @galeriadeartenacional). In addition to these accounts, the research department has an email available where they can send their work to ganinvestigacion@gmail.com.
