FVF announced the preliminary list of players called up for the Copa América

The Venezuelan Football Federation (FVF) has released the preliminary list of players called up for the 2024 Copa América, which will take place from June 20 to July 14, in the United States.

The list consists of 47 players shortlisted by the Technical Director, Fernando “Bocha” Batista. However, that list will be brought to 23 Red Wine Tinos, who will be responsible for representing the country .

The shortlisted are:

Goalkeepers: Rafael Romo (Catholic University), Joel Graterol (Cali America), José David Contreras (Golden Eagles), Alain Baroja (Always Ready) and Wuilker Faríñez (Caracas FC)

Defenders: Alexander González (Emelec), Jon Aramburu (Real Sociedad), Nahuel Ferraresi (Sao Paulo), Yordan Osorio (Parma), Carlos Vivas (Deportivo Táchira), Diego Luna (FC Baltika Kaliningrad), Wilker Ángel (Criciúma), Christian Makoun (Anorthosis Famagusta), Teo Quintero (KMSK Deinze), Jhon Chancellor (Metropolitanos FC), Miguel Navarro (Talleres), Renné Rivas (Caracas) FC), Roberto Rosales (Sport Recife) and Delvin Alfonzo (Millonarios FC)

Vinotinto will play its first match on June 22 against Ecuador, then it will face its counterpart from Mexico, and will conclude the group stage against Jamaica.
