A total of 295 officials belonging to various security, rescue and prevention bodies in the state of Falcón received specialized training in seismological and tsunamigenic matters. The training day, designed to unify criteria for action in the face of real contingencies, sought to sensitize first responders through technical conferences given by specialists in social research, using the cascade educational method to ensure the multiplier effect of information in each of their cohorts.

The training workshop took place over three days in the spaces of the entity's Executive Palace, under the facilitation of experts from the Venezuelan Foundation for Seismological Research (FUNVISIS). During the working sessions, the participants delved into key concepts such as the dynamics of tectonic plates, the protocols for tsunami management, the planning of the international Caribe Wave simulation exercise and the demanding preparation standards contemplated in the international Tsunami Ready program.

This preventive and institutional deployment actively integrated members of Civil Protection, the Fire Department, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), police forces, the Ven 911 system and the National Experimental Security University (UNES).

The initiative responds directly to the guidelines of the Ministry of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, coordinated with the government of Falcón state, with the purpose of strengthening the response capacity of local authorities to the recent seismic events recorded in the country.
