The National Center for Chemical Technology (CNTQ) and the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (FUNDACITE) installed ten science rooms in different educational institutions in the state of Guárico. These are actions aimed at strengthening students' scientific and technological knowledge in a simple, fun, playful and attractive way.
For three consecutive weeks, teams from these entities were deployed in several municipalities in the state, carrying out the adaptation of these spaces, which included painting, cleaning, lighting, security, electrical system installation and others. In addition, they provided chemistry kits, educational arts, high generation monitors, microscopes and laboratory instruments.
The new areas of science are located in the EU Ramón Buenahora (Altagracia de Orituco), in the Eduardo Delfín Méndez National High School (Zaraza), in the U.E.N Eligio Maluenga (Camaguán), in the Humberto Fernández Morán Industrial Technical School and in the Humboldt High School (Calabozo).
The educational units Dr. Julio de Armas (Guayabal), Juan José Rondón (Easter Valley), Beatriz de Rodríguez (Ortiz), the Juan Germán Roscio National High School and the Pedro Zaraza Industrial Technical School (San Juan de los Morros) were also favored.
Quoted in a press release, the president of FUNDACITE Guárico, Jim Madrid, said that “we are fulfilling the task, it is very satisfying that our Guárico institutions can acquire this great contribution to raising educational potential in the territory”.
