Fascism is alive in the world and in Venezuela we are not going to let it go. As we explained in the previous article, the fascists who now show themselves as libertarians, have only one plan: death, and that is why, to stop the Venezuelan right with its terrorist actions, the Bolivarian Government held last week the World Congress against Fascism, Neofascism and Similar Expressions.

At the opening conference, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, stressed that “right now humanity is facing one of the cruelest threats, it is an international cartel of fascism”.

From the La Carlota Convention Center, Rodríguez pointed out that “to address the issue of fascism, it is important to understand the development of capitalism, its crisis as a system, the role of the United States in promoting this fascist current and how this has brought geopolitical consequences and also the development of this current against humanity.”

Also, Foreign Minister Yván Gil, during his participation in the Congress, stressed that “this day is celebrated on an extremely important date, which commemorates, that commemorates, that pays tribute to the Latin American martyrs who have fought against fascism,” and he also recalled that that day, September 11, “marked the 51st anniversary of the unpleasant, monstrous coup d'etat against the president Salvador Allende and, precisely, in that spirit, we have all come together here in Caracas”.

In addition, the vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello explained that “in the April 2002 coup against Commander Hugo Chávez, the people began to see the claws, the fangs, of fascism. They ruled for 47 hours, they persecuted, they murdered, they went wild, they abolished this Constitution,” Cabello recalled.

“None of this could have been done without the media, without the big media corporations, and today none of that can be done without the social networks that generate their 'truths', according to their own interests. That's where we have to fight with a telephone,” he added in the face of the violence generated in the country after the electoral triumph of President Nicolás Maduro.

In this regard, he denounced that our country is part of a laboratory in which US imperialism and its allied governments implement destabilizing plans, which, if they work, they will try to replicate against other nations . “Venezuela is a great laboratory. Whatever they try to do with us, if it works, they will do it with other peoples and notice that I speak: against other peoples, not against other governments. This is not a matter of government, this is an issue of the people,” he explained.

Cabello added that “Fascism is an enemy of Peoples, we have experienced it here. More than 11,000 young people were killed and disappeared in Venezuela. What they put into practice in Chile, Argentina, they developed here in the country, through something terrible, known as the School of the Americas,” he said during his keynote speech, in which he also proposed the holding of the Anti-Fascist Communication Congress to prepare a response to attacks by information corporations.

Certainly, the fascist escalation that is intended to take place in our country is undressing. We saw how on September 14, the Minister of Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, held a press conference, in which he detailed the seizure of 400 rifles and the arrest of 14 people involved in an attack against President Nicolás Maduro and government institutions.

This operation is currently being dismantled and so far it is only a sample of part of it. An operation led by the United States and Spain provides mercenaries for their development and with information collected on ties with figures in the Venezuelan opposition, such as Carlos Vecchio, Julio Borges, María Corina Machado, among others.

The minister stressed that “it is important to see that nothing happens here without the US government leading it. This is through the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and there operates a character (Iván Simóvis) who is an arms dealer, linked to criminal mafias to whom he supplies weapons,” he reiterated. He also recalled the ways to sustain fascism in the regions, stating "How is fascism financed? For something we call NGOs, because they depend on the US Government or on the Governments of the European Union, through these structures they attack, persecute, carry out coups d'etat. Their methods are capable of turning perpetrators into victims.”

However, one thing is clear, and that is that, as Cabello reiterated, “fascism is cowardly. He is terrified of the People, of the popular organization, of the Peoples who want to be free. Fascism terrifies the unity of Peoples, regardless of which presidents are governing.”

This is why as Venezuelans, we must be alert to any suspicion of destabilizing actions that may affect national tranquility; it is we as a people together with the Bolivarian Government who will put an end to these practices in the region.
