An official of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs died as a result of injuries sustained during an Israeli bombing of the city of Rafa, in the southern Gaza Strip.
According to a statement from Foreign Affairs, replicated this Saturday by the RT agency, the official had taken refuge in the house of one of his colleagues at the Consulate General of France. Two other colleagues and numerous members of their families were also in the house.
The Ministry stressed that Paris condemns the attack carried out by the Israeli army against a residential building, which caused the death of many civilians. “We demand that the Israeli authorities clarify the circumstances of this attack as soon as possible,” he concluded.
In addition, this Saturday, the US Agency for International Development (USAID) also reported that one of its contractors died along with his wife and two daughters, aged 4 and 2, in an Israeli air strike against Gaza City, carried out in November.
Hani Jnena, 33, died in a residence owned by her relatives, located in the neighborhood of Al-Sabra, where her family had taken refuge after fleeing their own home. Jnena's family members also died in the attack.
