Venezuela's Freddy Vargas scored his first goal in Israel's top flight to secure the victory of his Maccabi Bnei Reineh 2-0 over Al Hapoel Hadera.

In the game of the seventh round of the Israeli league, the Venezuelan came off the bench as substitutes in the 46th minute and in the 70th minute he scored the second goal for his club.

Vargas has played 4 games with Maccabi Bnei Reineh, 3 of them starting.

The Venezuelan club is in third place in the tournament with thirteen points, but it is undefeated, after winning three times and drawing four.

The Israeli league had a two-month hiatus because of the war with the people of Palestine. After the decision to resume the tournament, La Liga announced that any foreign player who leaves the team due to the war will be able to return to playing in the league only for the team that he left.

He also noted that teams whose foreigners decide to leave the organizations will be able to sign new players for the squads.
