The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Alexander Grushko, warned during the week about the insinuations of the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, about the possibility of sending Western troops to Ukraine.
“We would not advise anyone (...) to test our country's readiness for an adequate and tough response,” he said according to a publication in Russia Today (RT)
The deputy minister also pointed out that the risk of a nuclear conflict “will increase dramatically if some countries of the North Atlantic Organization (NATO) attempt to openly enter Ukraine individually or in coalition, as stated by French President Emmanuel Macron.”
In context, Macron recently argued that "Ukraine may fall very soon”. According to a source quoted by Politico, “Now is the time to comment rather than mobilize, I would like that to change,” he said during a private dinner at a political event at the Elysee Palace.
