France: Police expel students who demonstrated in favor of Gaza

France is now the scene of tensions between pro-Palestinian students and the State, after the country's main universities organized pro-Gaza protests, amid the Israeli government's siege of occupied territories.

According to detailed information from the riot police, they entered the Sorbonne University in Paris, to expel dozens of pro-Palestinian students who had settled in the main courtyard of the building next to the Pantheon to protest against Israeli military action in the Gaza Strip.

The police intervention, which took place without incident and without any arrests being reported, at least at first, followed another blockade on Friday by some 200 university students from another prestigious university center, Sciences Po in Paris, also in protest against what they called “the genocide suffered by the Palestinian people”.
