The Prime Minister of France, Sébastien Lecornu, announced a massive security operation for next Saturday in response to the call for demonstrations promoted by student sectors and the Yellow Vest movement in various cities of the European country.

According to information provided by Prensa Latina, the Minister of the Interior, Laurent Nuñez, explained that the plan envisages strengthening the number of police personnel, increasing the mobility of the Security Forces and resorting to the support of military personnel from Operation Sentinelle to release custody tasks.

The government decision responds to the serious riots, looting and incidents that occurred last weekend, when public order devices were overwhelmed in several localities, generating criticism of the management of state security.

Along with the containment measures, the French Executive proposed reviewing the demands of the education sector and initiating working groups with the school and university community to evaluate urgent reforms in the area of public services and the budget.
