The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, heads the delegation participating in the IV Venezuela-Türkiye Mixed Commission, which was installed this Tuesday in Ankara, in order to discuss issues of common interest for development and to conclude cooperation agreements.

During the day this Tuesday, both parties fine-tune the instruments of cooperation in technical working tables on agriculture, fishing and livestock, science and technology, culture, sports, education, energy, transport and infrastructure, and tourism.

On Wednesday, May 22, the parties are expected to sign the Final Declaration of the Foreign Ministers and the cooperation instruments agreed at the technical working groups.

Venezuela and Türkiye officially established diplomatic relations on December 29, 1950. The bonds of friendship and cooperation were strengthened starting in 1999, with the arrival of Commander Hugo Chávez and his Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace, which promotes a foreign policy focused on building a new world order.

In 73 years, the alliance between the two nations has reached an important level and will continue to advance for mutual development, within the framework of the creation of a multicentric and multipolar world.
