Four dead aircraft crashed in Mexico

At least four people were killed when a small plane crashed in an ejido in the municipality of Xalisco, in the western Mexican state of Nayarit, official sources said Tuesday.

The Secretary (Minister) of Public Security and Citizen Protection of Nayarit, Jorge Benito Rodríguez Martínez, indicated that the aircraft hit the ground and then caught fire.

Two men and two women were traveling in the plane, who were completely burned.

The passengers were on their way to the municipality of Atizapán de Zaragoza, in the central state of Mexico, according to the source.

Forensic Medical Service personnel are at the scene to extract the human remains and carry out the corresponding investigations.

Meanwhile, the authorities are continuing their efforts to locate the black box and clarify the causes of the accident.
