Admiral José Jiménez Rattia presented the considerations of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (CONVEMAR 1982) regarding the establishment of baselines, while the Commander General of the Navy ratified the operational and continuous presence of naval units in the national maritime territory.

In his virtual speech, the Venezuelan ambassador to Colombia, AJ Orlando Maniglia Ferreira, presented his considerations for updating the elements that make it possible to organize and organize in a strategic way the maritime spaces of the Republic on the Caribbean and Atlantic façade.

Deputy Minister Mauricio Rodríguez urged maintaining a broad geopolitical vision in the face of international dynamics, to protect aquatic borders and protect the country's strategic resources.

During the day, five working groups were set up that will conclude on technical, legal, strategic and geopolitical recommendations to submit proposals that ensure the country's sovereignty and the preservation of the living and non-living resources of the Sea of Venezuela.
