In the framework of the 15th Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization (OTCA), the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, met in Suriname with his Brazilian counterpart, Mauro Vieira.

The information was released by the foreign minister through a publication on his Telegram channel, where he specified that “this meeting has allowed us to reaffirm our bonds of friendship and mutual respect for the sovereignty of our peoples”.

Prior to this meeting, Gil held a meeting with the Surinamese foreign minister, Albert Ramdin, “in an environment of respect between our peoples” to confirm his commitment to cooperation in the agricultural and fishing sectors.
