The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, assured this Thursday that Venezuela is Türkiye's most reliable partner in Latin America and that in this strategic direction both nations will continue to pave the way for the realization of a new world order.

From the Turkish capital of Ankara, where the Fourth Bilateral Joint Commission was closed, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister specified that the potentialities of both nations in different areas are unified to grow mutually politically, economically and socially.

He recalled that, despite the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the collective West, his country registered unprecedented economic growth in the region, which is reflected in the increase in the “last 11 years of Gross Domestic Product (GDP)”.

“In fact, this year we are going to experience the most significant growth in Latin America. Perhaps, we are reaching 10% of GDP growth in the midst of sanctions, which, if they were not an obstacle, the increase would be much greater,” said Gil.

According to the diplomat, Caracas is in “full economic and political stability, and we are even going to elections on July 28 with the president, Nicolás Mauro, as a candidate in an environment of democracy”.

The Fourth Venezuela-Türkiye Joint Commission, which was installed on May 21, ended with the signing of 9 cooperation agreements in the fields of agriculture; health and medical sciences; civil aviation; finance; protection of human rights; and education and university scholarships.
