Foreign Minister Yván Gil: Today more than ever Palestine demands not only solidarity, it demands action

Foreign Minister Yván Gil, during the Conference in Solidarity with Palestine, held at the Casona Cultura Aquiles Nazoa, highlighted the sacrifice, resistance and courage “that the Palestinian people have had”.

During his speech, Gil assured that Palestine has the “sovereign right to live free on its land, to live in sovereignty, to decide its destiny, to move forward in building its prosperity with its knowledge, with its wisdom and its ancient history”.

He also specified that the Palestinian people, “today more than ever, demand not only solidarity, demand action, demand commitment; because the struggle of the Palestinian people is the struggle of all our peoples.”

Gil assured that the attacks of imperialism and Zionism that Palestine is experiencing today “are the same attacks that the Venezuelan people suffer, that the Latin American people suffer, that the African people suffer, that the peoples of Asia suffer; it is the attempt at domination by imperialism.”

He also indicated that the world and humanity must thank “the Palestinian resistance against imperialism, it must be the main thing that calls us to continue to accompany and to continue sacrificing and to continue fighting. Humanity will have a lot to thank the Palestinian resistance for. If it weren't for the Palestinian resistance, imperialism would have already dominated our entire region.”

Finally, he specified that the triumph of Palestine will be the triumph of humanity as well as being the fruit of justice.
