The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, this Thursday from the National Electoral Council (CNE), assured that the Venezuelan voting system is worthy of “pride”.

In this regard, Gil pointed out that the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry constantly receives requests for support from the CNE, while specifying that Venezuela maintains relations with “more than 90 countries with electoral centers, with electoral institutions, which we advise. They ask us for support, they ask us for information about our system.”

The head of Foreign Affairs specified that next July 28 will be a moment of pride and to demonstrate how “the Electoral Power works in Venezuela”.

As for the observers of the upcoming electoral process , he said that starting in the second week of April “they will begin with the first exchanges, they have asked us for them and we have brought that information from the National Electoral Council (...) I remember that we are talking about a deployment of international officials to observe the elections, to see them and accompany them; who travel all over the country. Traditionally, these observers visit even the most remote parts of the country to check and enjoy the electoral holiday that is traditionally held on election day.”
