The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, expressed his rejection of recent U.S. military actions in the Caribbean, which he described as warmongering provocations.

Through his account on the social network X, he referred to the publication of the Minister of Popular Power for Defense, Vladímir Padrino López, who warned of the threat to regional peace posed by the presence of the aircraft carrier USS George Washington in the Caribbean.”

In this regard, Gil reiterated the complaints previously expressed by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, about the activation of what they consider “a war machine against Venezuela, by the United States Southern Command.”

In the message, he stressed that “the desires of Exxon Mobil have no limits, after taking possession of Guyana they intend to destabilize the region and threaten the Zone of Peace agreed by the CELAC countries.”

He also emphasized that “the Government of Guyana violates its international commitments, including the Argyle Agreement of 2023, by ceding its sovereignty to the North American power that threatens an entire continent.”
