The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, highlighted Venezuela's progress in the recovery of its economy and its oil industry, which make it possible to strengthen investment capacity in the region with initiatives such as PetroCaribe.

During the meeting of the Agency for Development Cooperation of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), he said that Venezuela has experience in a model of integration, of real union and that “gives us an advantage to present ourselves to the new world scenario that we have.”

“As everyone knows, we have been hit by coercive and unilateral measures, and the impact of PetroCaribe is quite large, yet Venezuela continues to implement a plan to recover its oil industry, its production capacity and export capacity, and that will pay off at some point, sooner rather than later, in recovering our investment capacity in the region for economic and social development,” said Gil.
