The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, reported that longliner Vasco Cotovio, an employee of the CNN network in the United States, manipulates information obtained through satellite images, to ensure that Venezuela has troops near the Guyana border.

Gil, in his account on the social network X, points out that “Mr. Vasco Cotivio @vascoCNN, an employee of the CNN network in the United States, already has a history of creating Fake News against Venezuela”.

“Today, together with Allegra Goodwin @goodwinallegra, they manipulate information obtained through satellite images from the company Maxar, a leading intelligence provider for the U.S. Department of Defense and transnational companies such as Exxon Mobil,” he said.

The chancellor stated that this is a maneuver by the company Exxon Mobil. “This insidious writing seeks to hide Exxon Mobi's interest in illegally seizing and exploiting a maritime area belonging to Venezuela and a sea not delimited to Guyana, as recently revealed by its president, Alistair Routledge,” he emphasized.

In this regard, he ratified that Venezuela “reserves all diplomatic actions and the use of all available measures within the framework of international law, in order to guarantee its sovereignty both in the incontrovertibly Venezuelan area and in the maritime zone pending to be delimited with Guyana.”
