The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, emphasized that once again, Venezuela raises its voice in the Human Rights Council of the United Nations (UN), to denounce the crimes of the United States against humanity.

“This Human Rights Council has a responsibility to act in the face of this serious atrocity,” he said.

Through his social media accounts, Gil said that “this time, the persecution and criminalization of Venezuelan migrants stands out, of whom 238 have been kidnapped and taken to a prison in El Salvador.”

He stressed that the government of El Salvador has received funds from Washington for every Venezuelan considered an alleged criminal, without guaranteeing them due process and thus violating all their human rights.

In his message, the foreign minister attached a video showing Ambassador Alexander Yánez, permanent representative of Venezuela to the UN - Geneva, during his speech to the Human Rights Council.
