The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yvan Gil, spoke on behalf of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro to thank Nicaragua for its solidarity with the country and to express his rejection of the approval by the U.S. House of Representatives of the so-called Ar825 Act.

“On behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, we want to express our sincere gratitude for the firm repudiation expressed by our struggling brothers in Nicaragua, President Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo, of the outrageous bill approved by the U.S. House of Representatives. This project is not only an insult to the memory of Liberator Simon Bolivar, but it also dishonors his legacy as the first great anti-imperialist leader,” Gil wrote on his Telegram channel.
