The People's Power Minister for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, criticized his Colombian counterpart, Luis Murillo, for the attack on Venezuela.

Through his Telegram channel, the diplomat wrote: “It seems that Foreign Minister Murillo acted in a pusillanimous manner when addressing reality in our bilateral meeting, always attached to respect for the sovereignty and independence of Venezuela while we reviewed the cooperation between the two countries.”

Gil criticized that his counterpart gives in to the blackmail he “receives from the extreme right and from the United States of America, attacking from behind, with false narratives that he is unable to discuss face to face”.

Finally, he warned that “Venezuela will respond to him in due course and will regret the constant meddling in our internal affairs.”

Gil's message responds to Murillo's publication in which he assures that Colombia's position is for Venezuela to submit the minutes of the electoral results to recognize the victory of the state's faith, Nicolás Maduro.
