Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez: Cuba seeks to strengthen cooperation in different areas with China

The Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, began this Thursday, June 6, the work program of his official visit to Chin with sustained exchanges with that country's authorities.
Rodríguez held a meeting at the Grand Palace of the People with the Chinese Deputy Prime Minister, He Lifeng, in which he expressed his gratitude for China's support for the Caribbean country, the Telesur website reported.
According to press media, the Cuban foreign minister expressed his country's desire to strengthen cooperation in different areas with the Asian Giant and highlighted the bonds of friendship and friendship that unite the two nations.
On the other hand, He stressed that both nations are sisters and assured the intention to deepen practical collaboration in areas such as trade, investment and tourism, and to move forward in building a community of shared destiny between China and Cuba.
During the day, the head of Cuban diplomacy also met with the president of the Chinese Agency for International Development Cooperation (CIDCA), Luo Zhaohui.
Both sides discussed bilateral relations and mutual cooperation, backed by political trust and positive results in practical collaboration.
Rodríguez wrote on the Social X network, “I had a productive meeting with Luo Zhaohui, president of the CIDCA Cooperation Agency, whom I thanked for his personal involvement and his systematic monitoring of issues related to Cuba. I expressed our appreciation for the aid sent recently.”
As part of strengthening ties, the flag carrier Air China inaugurated the new Beijing-Madrid-Havana route in May, with which a significant increase in Chinese tourists to Cuba is expected.
Both nations have maintained diplomatic ties since 1960 with a close political, economic and commercial relationship.
