For now and forever! Chávez went out of Yare to the street next to the town

With the “for now” of that February 4, 1992, Commander Hugo Chávez sealed a great commitment, because not only did he assume responsibility when no one else did, but he gave hope to a people that was mired in misery by the neoliberal policies of the Fourth Republic.

For this reason, after leaving Yare prison, the Commander took to the streets next to the People to begin to build together with them a free, independent and sovereign Homeland. “That for now was like a reflection of a fighter's soul who was as if defeated at the time (...) but 'the forever' is the continuation of our struggle to overcome this century,” said the Commander.

Undoubtedly, thanks to that dedication and love for the Homeland and the People, the historical memory and legacy of Commander Chávez is still throbbing in the street next to the people who today resist, fight and continue in victory.
