Flame-fighting bodies mitigate fire in Henri Pittier Park in Aragua

More than 300 fire and rescue officers remain deployed to combat the flames of a fire that broke out in the afternoon of Tuesday, March 26, in Henri Pittier Park, specifically at km 4 of the Maracay-Ocumare highway in Aragua .

In this regard, the governor of the entity Karina Carpio reported that work continues to combat flames, for which purpose officials are still deployed in the area, belonging to the Aragua State Fire Department and surrounding entities that provide their support, Civil Protection, Inparks, Ministry for Ecosocialism, Bolivarian Police of Aragua, Forest Firefighters and volunteer personnel.

The president stressed that since March 19, there have been fires in the natural reservoir and specified that the event that occurred this Tuesday was provoked, so they arrested seven people, who were placed under the order of the Public Prosecutor's Office.

“We have the presence of the Superior Attorney of the state of Aragua, who was notified of the prosecution of seven cases related to arson. It is up to us to bring words of faith, encouragement and hope in these difficult times that we are experiencing,” he said.
