Al Jazeera television reported that five journalists from the Palestinian news network Quds lost their lives as a result of an Israeli attack near a hospital in the Gaza Strip.
Israeli forces launched an air strike against the journalists' vehicle while they were reporting in the Nuseirat refugee camp, located near Al Awda hospital.
The attack against the journalists was justified by the Israeli Army, stating through its Telegram channel, that they were supposedly “a terrorist cell of the Islamic Jihad movement”.
The five Palestinian journalists join the long list of journalists eliminated by Israel since October 7, 2023, when it launched a retaliatory operation for a surprise attack by the Palestinian movement Hamas that left 1,200 dead, about 5,500 injured and the capture of 253 Israelis, of whom nearly a hundred were later released in prisoner exchanges.
Israeli bombings have so far caused more than 45,300 deaths and more than 107,000 injuries, mostly children and women, according to data from the Gaza medical authorities.
