First flight! Ministry of Transportation oversees start of business activities at Yaracuy airport

This Thursday, February 1st, commercial operations began at Stte Airport. Néstor Arias, with the Maiquetía-San Felipe- Maiquetía route. This is the Albatros Airlines service, which will have two weekly flights, on Thursday and Sunday, and in the coming days the airline CONVIASA will be added to the itinerary.

The opening ceremony was led by the Governor of Yaracuy, Julio León Heredia, the Minister of Popular Power for Transportation, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán, the Deputy Minister of Air Transport, G/B Freddy Borges, the president of BAER, G/B Enzo Puglisi De Nisco and Col. Leonardo Briceño Dudamel, president of the National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC).

This new connection will allow Yaracuyans to be transferred to the center of the country, who will also have the possibility of traveling to the wonderful Pearl of the Caribbean, stopping at Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía.

The head of the transport portfolio, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán, stressed that “for the first time in its history, since 1948, after the creation of the San Felipe airport in Yaracuy, commercial operations are activated, as a result of the efforts of the National Executive, framed in the 1x10 of Good Governance”.
